Marika “MARS” Adair
Mars graduated from UNCW in 2019 with a BA in Film Studies, and a minor in Theatre. They did two semesters with the Visions Film Festival & Conference (8 & 9), which is how they decided to start their career in film. After graduating, they spent a few years as the Festival Manager at the Double Exposure Investigative Film Festival in Washington DC, then on Zoom in 2020 for the same festival.
Mars has previously worked with TW under other names like Bloom, Celeste, and Jackie since 2020. They were on productions like Hightown and The Black Phone (before taking a break to be the Communications Coordinator for the Cucalorus Film Festival in 2021) then George and Tammy, Hightown (again), Welcome to Flatch, and The Supremes last year in 2022. They also got to be an extra on one of those last ones, but they won’t let you know which one.
Mars spends their free time taking photos, working on small art projects, and spending time with friends. They enjoy many other forms of entertainment, from music videos to podcasts to the great outdoors! Their dog Sadie is the best coworker.
Mars assists Taylor and is the primary contact for questions about bookings or payroll. Feel free to reach out to them by email at mars@twcastandrecruit.com
ASSISTANT
Abby Walker
Abby graduated from UNCW in 2021 with a BA in Film Studies and the Excellence in Film Studies Award for her performance in both film scholarship and film production. She spent her first months after graduating working as a dayplayer Production Assistant on various projects before meeting Taylor and falling in love with the TW team on The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 1.
Shortly after, she transitioned to New York Extras Casting and worked on a wide range of projects from indie features to big studio shows. After dabbling in Camera Department, Abby most recently worked as a Production Coordinator for an indie horror feature shot in Wilmington.
Abby spends her free time freelance producing, recently receiving a Filmed in NC Cucalorus Grant for the drama short Fading Ink, which is currently in post-production. She also writes and directs her own projects, which she hopes to do more of in the future, and helps fellow film friends with their passion projects. She has a wide range of other interests, including special effects makeup, binging true crime podcasts, practicing her German, and continuing her never-ending attempt at learning guitar.
Abby assists Taylor and Mars with administrative tasks and bookings. Feel free to reach out to her by email at wilmybg@twcastandrecruit.com
